Dynamic Planning Simulation Challenge

Implementing a state-of-the-art data technology to simulate different load scenarios to support the production planning.

Our production site for steam turbines contains multiple machining and
manual work stations. These are currently planned in an integrated system landscape (e.g. SAP APO usage), which require respective basic data. Besides this ongoing optimization of the current and future load, ad-hoc request from internal and external customers need to be processed to allow an impact evaluation. This process is currently manually executed by highly trained production planners. We are searching for a way to support this manual process by using state-of-the art data technology to simulate different load scenarios. (“Load” in this case means planed manufacturing hours on our work stations.)
